WHAT IS YS TEACHER TRAINING?

This is an amazing opportunity to learn alignment, benefit, purpose and sequencing for the physical part of vinyasa yoga. It is a unique experience to get real and inquisitive with your true self. To learn about where you are, where you are going, and the limitless possibilities.  Mentally you will strengthen the tools to build determination, confidence, stamina, and self discipline in a positive and empowering way. Emotionally express beyond fear and drama. Exposing your healthiest core being. We all have different reasons for our yoga practice, but for most of us we want everyone to know its value and to share it. Yoga State's 200 hour teacher training gives you the ability to physically and emotionally express these benefits.

Things can get really busy and sometimes it's easy to loose track of ourselves as time flies by. This Yoga Teacher Training is set up in a way to spark your deepest ideas, energy and allow you to be your best self, to learn to use time, coping skills, and your mind in the most healthy way. That doesn't mean working harder or doing more, actually for a lot of people it means doing less, just reorganizing and training your brain to use your ideas, thoughts, and actions in the most positive and useful way. In general there is a lot of anxiety in the world right now and our minds can get stuck in the external loop and feel stressed and overwhelmed. This training not only teaches so much asana (posture and alignment), flow sequencing, & breathing,  but the best ways to live your happiest most choice life possible. As humans we "wait" to do things, but that just leads to digging a deeper rut or postponing feeling amazing. This is something you can do right now, healthy change and lifelong goals that some never meet simply because they keep waiting. 

I encourage you to take a few minutes to think or meditate about your goals, where you are, and where you want to be mentally and emotionally. This is one of the most effective ways to get there, as well as to build the stamina to stay happy through life's challenges.  Hold the power of discovering who you are, how to truly feel whole and satisfied with all the amazing things you are capable of.

Spinning (group cycling) is a great cardio workout to work on speed or build endurance. At Yoga State, we combine a variety of music styles, tempos, resistance settings, and choreography to give you a full body workout and to challenge your muscles in a variety of ways. No prior indoor cycling experience needed!
The instructor will assist new students in proper bike set-up, class structure, and appropriate Modifications for the class. Bring your water and sweat towel and come prepared to sweat! Bike pedals work with regular gym shoes or SPD shoes. Shoes are not provided. Sign up in advance to guarantee a spot, we have 17 bikes, spots are limited.
Cancellation policy is before 9pm for morning classes, or 9am for evening classes. You may be charged a late cancel fee if you cancel outside of these listed times.

Flow for a Cause Yoga - East Lansing

A relaxing, healing, reflective, and challenging experience while raising donations for a great cause. The class will start slow, build up to a peak, and be brought back down to a slow meditative pace. Come with an open mind and heart and be prepared to be inspired. This class has a minimum $7 donation and any extra donations are welcomed. All proceeds will go to the Global Medical Brigades which supports a clinic in Ghana Africa. The local people of Ghana suffer from lack of resources and education. This often leads to poor hygiene, little to no medical care, and the spread of infectious diseases such as malaria and HIV/AIDS. Our mission with Medical brigades is to fund this clinic, bring supplies, and help with triage, patient care, education, and assist doctors and pharmacists who stay local to maintain relationships with the communities to provide follow-up and to conduct Community Health Worker trainings to empower local leaders to sustain a consistent level of healthcare. Healthcare is a basic human right that should be accessible to everyone around the world. Come flow with us and open your hearts to helping other humans around the world obtain the care and education that they need
